Intel Ethernet Connection I219-V Driver for Windows

I219-V is an Intel wired-network family with multiple platform generations. Device Manager may show a numbered variant such as Ethernet Connection (2) I219-V. That number and the actual hardware ID are useful context: do not collapse every I219 device into a single guaranteed package match. I219-V and similarly named I219-LM resources also need to be distinguished when reviewing official compatibility information.

Compatibility confidence: Not verified

Exact driver could not be verified automatically. DrvBeacon will not guess a driver when compatibility cannot be verified. Select your exact model and Windows version in the official support system. Compatibility has not been established.

Identify the device in Device Manager

  1. Record the complete Device Manager name, vendor/device ID and subsystem. The sample IDs on this page represent only some I219-V generations.
  2. Find the exact PC or motherboard model and select its LAN/network category on the official support page.
  3. Compare the selected Intel or OEM package's supported products with your generation, Windows version and architecture rather than relying on the I219 family name alone.

Hardware ID examples

  • PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1570
  • PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15B8

Representative I219-V identities only. Several platform generations have different DEV values; this is not an exhaustive match list.

These public vendor/device values help identify a device family. Do not discard subsystem information when checking OEM compatibility, and do not share raw device-instance paths or private scan credentials.

Windows and architecture requirements

Intel's I219-V product resources include Windows driver options. Check the exact generation against the selected Windows 10 or Windows 11 package's supported devices.

Confirm the package's Windows architecture. No ARM64 package is verified here, and a family label does not establish support for every platform generation.

This is guidance about official resources, not verification of a particular file, release date or driver version. Check the current package notes and your PC model before any manual installation.

OEM and subsystem considerations

Integrated Ethernet depends on the platform configuration, so the system or motherboard maker is a useful first source. An OEM laptop's network driver can differ from a custom desktop board's package. Do not infer an exact driver from the CPU brand, and do not treat an operating-system deployment/WinPE package as the normal Windows desktop driver.

Troubleshoot before changing software

When Ethernet disappears after reinstalling Windows, an unknown controller and Code 28 provide stronger evidence than an old driver date. If the device is already installed and reports no error, test the cable and network port before replacing its driver. Compare Windows Update optional driver candidates only when the update is applicable to this actual PC.

A Device Manager error code, the installed driver provider and the affected feature are better evidence than age alone. Avoid random driver sites, unofficial mirrors and driver-pack aggregators. Do not disable Windows security to run a downloaded file.

When Windows Update is appropriate

Windows Update can offer a compatible driver based on the actual PC. In Windows 11, inspect Settings → Windows Update → Advanced options → Optional updates. In Windows 10, optional driver updates appear under Windows Update when available. An entry must actually be applicable; this public page cannot check your PC or claim that an update is available.

DrvBeacon?s optional scanner checks the configured Windows Update source and only recommends a Windows Update action when device matching and applicability are confirmed. An offline, incomplete or policy-restricted check leaves availability unknown. No driver is installed automatically.
