Graphics driver resources for Windows
More than one display adapter can be normal on a hybrid-graphics PC. Distinguish the exact GPU from its family and check whether the system uses a desktop card or laptop implementation before selecting software.
Checks before choosing a driver
- Use Hardware Ids when Windows shows Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. Shared IDs can identify a family without identifying a retail model.
- Check OEM platform guidance for laptops; in a custom desktop, GPU and motherboard drivers often come from different vendors.
- Review Windows version, architecture and the official supported-products list. An x64 package does not establish ARM64 compatibility.
A newer version number or driver date alone is not proof of compatibility. Read the official package notes and keep the current working configuration in mind before a manual change.
